Instructions for making a
CD containing the entire Spoken English Learned
Quickly course
- Open a new folder on your computer and name it
selq (for spoken english learned
quickly).
- Download all of the ZIP folders shown in the
link table
above.
- Download each ZIP folder by
right-clicking on its link. When the
dialog box asks for direction, select
Save Target As . .
. Save the ZIP folders on your
desktop.
- Open the selq file on your
computer.
- Double click on each ZIP folder. When the
ZIP folder opens, transfer all of the files in
that folder to your selq folder. If
there is a folder (or zipped file) in the
unzipped files, place the folder (or zipped
file) in selq without opening
it. For more information about the use of
ZIP folders, see The purpose of a ZIP
folder link below.
Are you having difficulty
downloading files? Browser
incompatibility is the most common reason
files do not download.
- Try downloading the files from a
different computer.
- Have someone else download the
files from their computer.
|
- Download the index.html file to your
selq folder. Listing this file separately
allows you to keep your CD current with the
website. If a dialogue box asks if you want to
replace the older file with a newer file, answer
"Yes." Right click and again use the Save Target As . . . tool. You
may save the index.html from either the
last entry in the Download
the entire course from a dial-up connection
table itself or from the box below.
- Choose how you want your CD to open.
- The most trouble free way to open the CD is
to make a second copy of the index.html
(home page) file and rename it as
00AA@HOME.html (the "00" in "00AA" are
zeros.) This title will place the second
index.html file at the top of the
alpha-numeric content list where it will be
simple to find. Double-clicking on this file
will open the course on the home page. However,
as the CD is used, all internal links will
return to the original index.html page.
This CD can then be opened on any computer,
irrespective of its operating system.
- You may also add an autorun feature
which will open the CD on the home page.
However, since operating systems vary, autorun
reliability is less certain.
| We suggest that you
obtain the launch.exc and
autorun.inf files from someone in
your country. Talk to a computer
